I preordered the demi sneakers As an ethical alternative to golden goose in January which were due to ship in April. Mid April, they have yet to ship, I check the product page, and shipping is now updated to may. I email customer support for an update and they confirmed it would ship in may at latest but could be sooner. It’s now 6/1 and my shoes haven’t shipped. I requested a refund via support last week and have gone back and forth requesting a refund now three times as they only want to sub out for another pair, give me a leather cardholder, or $20 off my next purchase though I’ll never buy from them again. A shame they can send marketing emails 2x/week but can’t be proactive in communication re orders & don’t care until they’re going to lose a sale.
I ordered a pair of shoes in January and paid the additional charge of ¢50 (!!!) for shipping which was to include customs charges. Having not received the shoes for a few weeks and being aware that the shoes had some issues at customs, I contacted customer service and received an unhelpful, tepid response explaining that they couldn't help me (considering I had paid an additional ¢50) to deal with customs issues. The shoes have now been returned to Oliver Cabell without me ever receiving them due to said customs issues and I am yet to receive a refund. All round pretty awful experience that I would not recommend to anyone.

If I could give zero stars, I would. They have no customer service. Waiting 4 months for $250 shoes is pretty poor business. Delay after delay, I still haven’t seen either of the two pairs I bought. I’m about to cancel all of my orders and get my money back.
Similar experience to other reviews here. I "pre ordered" Jan 31st and still have not received the sneakers. I've ordered a car and received it sooner. By March/April I'd had multiple emails with customer service where they "hope" to ship and "estimate" delivery and failed on each. Laughably, I received an unsolicited email purportedly from the "founder" Scott, asking me for a positive review on Facebook about my experience! Can't get more absurd and tone deaf than that. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY. They will take your money and not deliver (about to be 4 months at this point) the product you've paid for.
Took 3 months to deliver my order. No proactive updates nor apologies from the company and did not allow me to cancel (was told i had to wait for the delivery then request a return). Beware of super high duties + VAT you will need to pay on top of the order price if you order from outside of the US.
Really bad. Huge import duty charged with no warning. Do not buy from this company if you are in Uk
I ordered Low 1 | Ocean and shoe trees. This is a beautiful shoe, but there have been many problems with its sizing due to Oliver Cabell's sizing system. I ordered a US Size 13, but when the shoe arrived it was EUR 46, which is the US Size 12 equivalent. Trying on the shoe, it was a bit tight; however, when you google leather shoes there are many sources saying it is a good idea to purchase leather shoes in a size lower as they stretch. Despite the fact that I ordered a 13 and received a 12, I decided to wear the shoe briefly (~10 minutes) which resulted in large blisters on my heels. I waited 6 days to then wear the shoes again for 10 minutes, resulting in more blisters and pain in my toes. I contacted Oliver Cabell, who would not offer a return and just advised the shoe will stretch. The representative did not comment on the fact that I selected a 13, yet received the wrong size (for example: is this purposeful, is this an automated system error, did a employee review my order and select a size lower by accident?). I followed up again recently as I am still upset with the product, but I would like to enjoy it. I would not recommend this product, until Oliver Cabell clarifies their sizing problem. If they do not clarify and provide some type of offer, I would not recommend nor buy another shoe from the company. Which is unfortunate, because I really do like them. However, it is confusing why this sizing problem is not being taken more seriously, as it is a quality assurance problem that could cause more customers to be dissatisfied with their product. The shoe trees are of high quality, but they do not stretch the shoe; therefore, do not enhance my experience of wearing the shoe. I would love to be able to enjoy these shoes, but it does not seem like Oliver Cabell will facilitate this.
I ordered a pair of shoes at the beginning of Feb and still don’t have them and it’s now middle of May . I have emailed numerous times and got lip service saying they are coming . Really don’t care any more as 3-4 months for a pair of shoes they would want to be made out of gold ! These guys I think are scam artists and I live in Australia so not much chance of ever seeing product I paid $250 for ! Keep away
I was super pumped about getting these shoes. However, they actually came a bit too big. No big deal right? Yea right. The exchange process is a nightmare.
The shoes came on a Tuesday, contacted them two hours later to ask if they would ship the new shoes soon please while so I could get it before mothers day. They basically said no. I followed up to see if there is anything I could do to speed things up and no response. I then emailed the CEO (Scott Gabrielson). He assured me he will help. It's been almost two days since speaking to him and nothing, the shoes haven't even shipped.
It's now Saturday and nothing. One day before mothers day..
Look at comments on reddit - customer service has been horrible for over 2 years. The CEO is aware and doesn't care. If something goes wrong with your oder or after you wear them once or twice, do you really think they will help?
Pro tip Oliver Cabell: It's 12x cheaper to retain a customer than to acquire one
I was a little hesitant to buy these shoes because it isn't normally my style but upon receiving them and trying them on I fell in love! They fit my more narrow fit perfectly. The quality is also amazing. The leather feels very supple and that allows the shoe to conform more to your foot and be more confutable. They feel even better once they are broken in! I know I will end up with a few pair in various colors. I do want to mention that I am normally a size 9 in athletic sneakers but am a size 8 in Oliver Cabell.
I was on the look out for a nice, quality pair of GAT shoes. The ones I really wanted were over 500 which I just could never picture myself spending. After searching for everything I was looking for in my next shoe I cam upon this shoe company. After reading some of the reviews and doing my comparisons, I decided what the heck, a birthday present to myself. I am very glad I did as these are exactly what I was looking for. Do yourself a favor and try them out. I am getting them in black next.
Beyond overrated shoes, customer service is a joke, took 5 months to receive 2 pairs of shoes that I couldn't return because of their horrible return policy hidden in the shadows of their website. Buy KOIO or Common Projects.
Horrible company who do not deliver. After not receiving my order after 3.5 months and no communication I canceled my order and requested a refund. On doing do do they then sent me an email saying my shoes had been delivered which is just plainly untrue. I have never had a worst experience. Do not buy from them.
